Position Overview
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Administration Intern to join its team in Yaoundé, Cameroon. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in administrative and operational support within a global organization dedicated to sustainable development and poverty reduction.

Eligibility and Education Requirements
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Social Sciences, Administration, Logistics, or a related field; OR
- Have recently (within the last year) obtained a university degree in one of the above fields.
- Fluency in French or English is required. Knowledge of the other language is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and experience with web-based management systems are advantageous.
- Familiarity with customs procedures, MINREX protocols (visa applications, diplomatic correspondence), or administrative processes in Cameroon is an asset.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
1. Support to Operational Strategies
- Assist in the transmission of documents to processing centers and units, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Map and track processed files while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Contribute to the development of administrative workplans focused on results-oriented outcomes.
2. Efficient Functioning of the Administrative Unit
- Participate in meetings and provide reporting support through note-taking and documentation.
- Compile and prepare presentation materials, background information, and documentation for meetings and missions.
- Digitize documents, including service requests, exoneration files, and accreditations.
- Update tracking tools with real-time information on the status of administrative processes.
- Liaise with partner administrations (e.g., MINREX, MINFI, MINTRANSPORTS, DGSN) to follow up on files and ensure timely resolutions.
3. Administrative and Logistical Support
- Collect data related to shipments for UNDP and administered agencies.
- Verify the completeness of fleet administrative documents and support exoneration processes.
- Monitor shipment deliveries and report challenges encountered during logistics operations.
- Follow up on visa requests, consular cards, and other accreditations.
- Provide administrative support for workshops, retreats, and meetings, including logistics coordination.
- Collect and review data related to common services and assist in budget preparation and procurement planning.
- Support drivers in updating vehicle logs, including daily movements, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
4. Office Maintenance and Assets Management
- Collect data on custody sheets for office assets and support asset reporting.
- Verify and update asset tagging needs to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Assist in maintaining common premises services to ensure a functional and efficient workspace.
5. Knowledge Building and Sharing
- Participate in training sessions for operations and projects staff on administrative procedures.
- Contribute to knowledge networks and communities of practice by sharing insights and best practices.
