Position Purpose and Scope of Responsibilities
The incumbent selected for this pivotal administrative role will serve as the operational backbone of the World Bank’s Addis Ababa office, providing comprehensive oversight and strategic direction across all facets of office administration and facilities management. - Exercise diligent oversight of all outsourced service contracts, including but not limited to: janitorial services, corporate catering, travel management, office supplies procurement, and utility management
- Serve as the principal authority on interpreting and implementing the Bank’s complex administrative policies regarding travel, leave administration, relocation protocols, and workplace standards
- Spearhead digital transformation initiatives for mailroom operations, including the integration of cutting-edge eService platforms with existing pouch shipment systems
- Maintain rigorous quality control over all administrative services to ensure they meet the exacting standards expected of a premier international financial institution
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance staff comfort and productivity within the workplace environment
2. Strategic Leadership of Administrative Teams
- Provide inspirational leadership to a diverse team comprising reception staff, mailroom personnel, drivers, and support staff
- Institute comprehensive training programs to elevate team capabilities in line with evolving organizational needs
- Design and implement robust performance metrics and evaluation systems for administrative staff
- Foster an organizational culture predicated on excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
3. Sophisticated Procurement and Contract Administration
- Play an instrumental role in the Admin Procurement Committee’s strategic decision-making processes

Candidate Selection Criteria
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement) in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related discipline
- Advanced certification in office management or related field (highly desirable)
Technical Competencies
- Expert-level proficiency in enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated mastery of modern office automation solutions

Professional Experience
