As a Payment Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of Plan International’s Ecuador office. Your work will directly support our mission by maintaining accurate financial records, safeguarding confidential banking information, and ensuring timely processing of payments—key functions that enable our programs to reach millions of children and girls worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Documentation & Record-Keeping
    • Manage and maintain active and passive files for all accounting documentation related to payments.
    • Ensure proper custody and organization of financial records for audits and reporting.
  2. Office & Financial Supplies Management
    • Oversee the distribution and inventory of office and financial supplies for the Finance team.
    • Maintain an efficient system to track and replenish materials as needed.
  3. Confidential Financial Handling
    • Safeguard Plan International’s banking and financial data with the highest level of discretion.
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
  4. Support in Financial Operations
    • Assist in processing payments, verifying invoices, and reconciling transactions.
    • Work closely with the Payment Center Coordination to streamline financial workflows.

Who We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, financial assistance, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tax software (experience with local Ecuadorian tax systems is a plus).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Basic English proficiency (written and verbal) to support cross-border financial coordination.
